Free Computers to Economically Challenged Kids

Computers are the fastest growing learning tools for students of all ages!  According to the U.S. Department of Education, 98% of parents and educators believe computer skills are important to educational success and that regular access to computers is required to get good grades in school.  Although 87% of U.S. school aged children have access to a computer in the home, there are still hundreds of kids locally who don’t have this advantage.  Tech-Ed Networks has partnered with the City of Roseville address this problem by providing free computers to economically disadvantaged kids.  Tech-Ed Networks intercepts trainloads of computers that would otherwise be headed to landfills, refurbishes them to be like new, and distributes them locally to deserving kids.  This is outstanding program is not only exciting for the kids but also beneficial to the environment.  Tech-Ed Networks is a leader in recycling and environmental stewardship, recognizing that the best way to recycle is to reuse existing products so there is absolutely no waste.  “We are proud to give back to our community and improve the educational success of local children”, says Tech-Ed’s CEO, Steve Fassler.
